Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Quizmite handles information when you use the Quizmite mobile application and related website pages.
What Quizmite is
Quizmite is an offline-first trivia game. You can play without creating an account. The app does not include user-generated content, public profiles, chat, or account registration.
Information handled by the app
Quizmite stores gameplay information locally on your device so the app can remember progress and preferences. This may include settings, onboarding status, selected categories, preferred difficulty, question count, XP, coins, levels, streaks, daily challenge progress, and quiz results. This local gameplay data is not tied to a Quizmite account because no account is required.
If you contact support by email, we receive the email address and message details you choose to send. We use that information only to respond to your request, investigate issues, or handle privacy questions.
Advertising
Quizmite is ad-supported and may display ads through Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may collect or receive information such as device identifiers, advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and ad performance data. This information may be used to provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and improve advertising services.
Depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and Google's advertising settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. When required, Quizmite uses Google's consent tools to ask for ad privacy choices before requesting ads.
Diagnostics and analytics
Quizmite uses Google Firebase services to understand app usage and improve reliability:
- Firebase Analytics ā aggregated, non-personal gameplay events (for example, rounds completed, feature usage, ad interactions). No account names, emails, or question text are sent.
- Firebase Crashlytics ā crash and error reports including device type, operating system version, app version, and stack traces to help fix bugs.
- Firebase Remote Config ā optional tuning values (for example, ad frequency or feature flags). If Remote Config cannot load, the app uses safe built-in defaults and continues offline.
Analytics and crash reporting can be limited on your device through OS privacy settings. Debug builds may disable Firebase collection during development.
Diagnostics
Quizmite may receive app store, platform, or third-party diagnostic information to understand crashes, performance issues, and app reliability. This may include technical details such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
How information is used
- To provide trivia gameplay and app features.
- To remember local preferences and improve the user experience.
- To display and measure ads.
- To detect, prevent, and resolve crashes, fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
- To respond to support or privacy requests.
Accounts and user content
Quizmite does not require or provide user accounts. The app does not let users upload, publish, or share user-generated content with other players.
Childrenās privacy
Quizmite is intended for a general audience unless otherwise configured in app store listings. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through account registration. Because the app may display ads, parents or guardians should review device privacy settings, ad personalization settings, and app store family settings.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, please contact us so we can review and delete the information where appropriate.
Data sharing
Quizmite's developer does not sell personal information. Third-party service providers may process information to provide advertising, diagnostics, hosting, app distribution, fraud prevention, and support-related services.
Data retention
Local gameplay data may remain on your device until you delete the app or clear the appās data. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to your request and maintain records. Third-party services retain information according to their own policies.
Your choices
- You can uninstall Quizmite to remove app data stored locally on your device.
- You can adjust advertising ID and ad personalization settings on your device.
- You can use any ad privacy choices shown in Quizmite when Google's consent tools make them available.
- You can contact us with privacy questions or deletion requests related to support communications.
Third-party services
Quizmite may use third-party services such as Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), Google AdMob, Google Play services, app store distribution tools, hosting providers, and diagnostic tools. These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the āLast updatedā date at the top of this page.
